Being the Centurion

Is it when you step into another’s wounds?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they invite you in to dine?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they share their hopes, dreams and fears with you?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they share and open their heart to you?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when you sit in their darkness and bask in their light?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they tell you their sorrows and their joys?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they tell you their temptations, and sins and don’t know what to do?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when you catch their tears?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they kiss your hand for His healing touch?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when you join in their laughter?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they thank you for something you felt called to do?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Is it when they smile at you like Jesus would do?
Lord, I’m not worthy.

Lord, I’m not worthy that you should come under my roof!
But only you Lord, just say the word.

A broken crucifix in the Monte Castillo Chapel. The embroidery work is stunningly beautiful. This took my breath away.
