In Gratitude I Praise God for You!

If you personally know me and are reading this, then you know I’m a huge proponent of writing personal thank you notes. I snail mail them all the time. However, I met so many people who’s contact information I do not have, and given the mail system is not convenient in Piura I writing this to all of you on this blog.

Oh God I give you all the praise and the glory for the majesty you displayed to me. I’m truly humbled. I will praise you O’Lord night and day!!!

To Fr. Joe who allowed me to stay these two months and the freedom to follow the movement of the Holy Spirit. You continuously and subtlety encouraged me until my eyes were open. In addition, you kindly put in the mass intentions that it was my birthday when it it’s still three months away! Thank you! I praise God for you.

To the staff of Santismo Sacramento Parish who every day looked after me. Your hearts and life stories humbled me. Your good mornings and hugs always welcomed me. Your prayers and concerns for me warms my heart. It inspires me that you all care so much about me. Thank you! I praise God for all of you.

To Ginet whose hospitality and friendship spoke truth into my life. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To Magole who spoke English. You were my unexpected blessing. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To Fr. Fuller who taught me how to fruitfully pray oh so long ago now, for if it wasn’t for you. I would of never heard the call to go in the first place. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To Fr. Matt who I never scare off with my crazy supernatural stories, you continually remind me relationship then mission. And if anyone was praying for me, I know it was you. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To my friend, Deacon Keith Strohm who continually encouraged me on this mission and writing journey. You quickly responded to my messages whenever I needed help in understanding what the Holy Spirit was doing. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To Julie whose invitation to more of God has profoundly changed my relationship with the Holy Spirit. You are my kingdom friend! Thank you! I praise God for you.

To my St. Patrick’s community and so many friends. Your love, support and prayer sustained me my entire trip. I always felt wrapped in your prayers! Thank you! I praise God for all of you.

To Cheryl who I never met before and those on the medical mission team. You all took me in like I was already a part of the team. Thank you! I praise God for all of you.

To Mateo who blessed me with translation and the ability to preach early on. Your willingness to answer questions on Piura and the culture provided an important foundation for me. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To mi Amiga, Julie whose companionship after my group left was a true blessing. There are no sea turtles without you girlfriend. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To Fr. Ed Pelrine and Jean whose presence showed me what God wanted me to do more of – witness. Thank you! I praise God for you both.

To John, Kathryn, and Annie your humour, and the banter we shared reminded me how important it is to just laugh. And John, I do believe the trash is still waiting for you. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To the Kansas group who included me in on everything you all did. You saved me with your pillows and ginger snaps. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To the entire Garay family, your kindness, warmth, prayers, and friendship humbles me. You learned early on from a woman whom I believe is a saint – your mom. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To the faith community of Santismo Sacramento you welcomed this female gringa like I was one of you. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To my pew partner, Luis whose brave reach for my hand was so significant in people trusting me. Your friendship and willingness to be a advocate inside of walls of Santismo for me and the Holy Spirit still astounds me. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To the brave, but gentle missionary who pointed out several planks in my eye. Not easy to do. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To Theresa your beautiful voice in music healed old wounds and parts of my soul. Thank you! I praise God for you.

To the missionary mouse who silently snuck into my room at some point I do not know when and left me extra money. Thank You! I Praise God for you.

To Jacob and Alberto your continuous invitations until I said yes to the clean water project in the desert changed how I see everything, including how I see God. Thank you! I praise God for you both.

I’m sure there is so much more!! A significant amount of time I spent in prayer was praising God for so many of you and His blessings being poured down upon me. His providence showed up in all of you. I absolutely lacked for nothing because you all provided an abundance of God’s love to me. Thank you! I praise God for each and everyone of you. I am grateful. I am humbled. I Thank you! And I praise God for you.
